Terms of Service
Last updated July 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a contract between your organization (the "Customer", "you") and Bylio ("Bylio", "we"), the provider of the Bylio service. They cover your use of Bylio, a service that interviews your experts and turns the conversation into draft content for your team to review, approve, and publish. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
Bylio is a service for businesses. It is not offered to consumers. By agreeing to these Terms you confirm you are acting on behalf of an organization and that you have authority to bind that organization.
1. Your account
You are responsible for your account, for keeping login details secure, and for everything done by the people you invite into your organization. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised. You must give accurate account information and keep it current.
2. How the service works
Bylio uses artificial intelligence to interview your chosen experts and to produce drafts from those interviews. Every piece is shown to a person in your organization to review, edit, and approve before it is published. Bylio does not publish anything on your behalf. You decide what, if anything, to publish, and where.
3. Plans, trial, and billing
You can start on a free trial with no card required. Paid plans set how many pieces and how many seats you may use, and are billed monthly through our payment provider, Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and seller for the transaction. Paddle handles payment, invoicing, and any applicable VAT or sales tax. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.
Plans renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and will keep access until the end of the paid period. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable and we do not refund partial periods. If a payment fails or a plan lapses, we may limit or suspend paid features.
4. Acceptable use
Your use of Bylio must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In short, do not use Bylio for unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or harmful content, do not attempt to reach another organization's data, and do not misuse or attempt to disrupt the service.
5. Your responsibilities and promises
Because you decide what goes into Bylio and what comes out of it, you agree that:
- you have the right to share the information your experts provide, and permission to use it for the content you create;
- you obtain each expert's consent to be interviewed and to have content published under their name or byline where you choose to do so;
- you review and approve every piece before publishing it, and you are responsible for what you publish and for its accuracy, legality, and effect;
- your use of Bylio, and the content you publish, comply with the laws that apply to you, including any duty in your market to disclose that content was created with the help of artificial intelligence.
6. Artificial intelligence and content
Bylio's drafts are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. They are drafts, not advice, and are not a substitute for professional, legal, financial, or other expert judgment. You are the editorial decision-maker: you must review, verify, and edit every piece before relying on or publishing it. Bylio is not responsible for decisions you make, or content you publish, based on a draft.
7. Ownership of content
As between you and Bylio, you own the information you put into Bylio (your interviews and other inputs) and the drafts Bylio produces for you (together, "Your Content"). You grant Bylio a limited licence to host, process, and transmit Your Content only as needed to provide and support the service. Bylio owns the service itself, including its software, models configuration, and brand. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the service without obligation to you. We do not sell Your Content.
8. Confidentiality
Each party may receive non-public information from the other. Each party agrees to protect the other's confidential information and to use it only to perform under these Terms, except where disclosure is required by law.
9. Data protection
For personal data in Your Content, you are the data controller and Bylio is your data processor. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, and our processing on your behalf is governed by our Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Service provided "as is"
Bylio is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated here, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will meet your requirements. The service may be offered in beta from time to time, which can mean reduced stability.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bylio has no liability to you for any loss or damage of any kind, direct or indirect, including lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or the loss or corruption of data, arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms. You use the service at your own risk and are responsible for keeping your own backups of anything important to you. Bylio provides no compensation, refund, or credit for any such loss.
Where liability cannot be excluded or limited under Norwegian law, including liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or personal injury, only that mandatory minimum applies, and it is limited as far as the law allows.
12. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Bylio against third-party claims, and related losses and reasonable costs, arising from Your Content, from what you publish, from your use of the service, or from your breach of these Terms or of your promises in section 5.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Bylio and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms (including the Acceptable Use Policy), fail to pay, or create a security or legal risk. On termination, your right to use the service ends. You can export or request your data before then, and we handle remaining data as described in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.
14. Changes
We may update the service and these Terms. If we make a material change to these Terms, we will give reasonable notice, for example by email or in the app. If you keep using Bylio after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Oslo, Norway have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
16. General
You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger or sale. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Data Processing Agreement, and the Acceptable Use Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the service.
